Shark finning is a big problem in the world it is Killing a lot of sharks in the world. There were a lot of sharks in the 2000s but now there are only 1 billion sharks in the world now which is not that much and scientists think that by the time it is 2040 there will be no more sharks. That is why people are banning it in countries and trying to stop the Japanese from killing and selling shark fins.
Shark fining is when someone catches a shark just to cut off its fins. Is used as a food for the Japanese and is mostly found in hong kong. They eat it as a delicacy and it resembles power and wealth. Even though shark fin does not have much flavour they still eat it and it is pointless and should be stopped.
The effect of shark finning is very dangerous for the earth. Killing sharks make the whole ecosystem fail as they are an apex predator and helps the oceans to stay sustainable and help other creatures to live. Sharks are a keystone species and they keep everything in line and make fish not overeat so they can thrive and stay well species. The plants need to keep a balance so that life on earth can live.
Whereas their shark is a healthy ocean and whereas there is a healthy ocean there is healthy land which we live on and keep us alive it helps us make the plant life and makes us live. So that is why you should stop finning sharks as it is pointless and makes you look like a selfish person who just wants the plant to die
