Court layout including zones
Equipment-Two korfs and a ball.
Players on the court per team (male & female)- Two teams of eight players with four females and four males in each team.
The object of the game- To score as many goals as possible by throwing the ball from above through the Korf.
How to score- By throwing the ball in the opposition’s basket.
Rules – zones and when they change, guarding, defence, footwork, intercepting, contact, free pass, penalty shot, time out, substitutions, throw off, out-ball.
- The ball is played using hands only.
- Controlled physical contact is allowed.
- A player can’t move with the ball in their hands.
- A player can’t take a shot if they are being ‘defended’
(When the opposition player positions themselves in between the hoop and attached within an arm’s length from the attacker)
- The court is divided into two halves, players can’t cross the halfway line. 8 players per team are on the court divided over these two halves
(4 people of each team on side, of which 2 are girls and 2 boys).
- Two positions are played, attack and defense. After every second goal scored both sides switch over to the other side of the court, changing their role from the attacker to defender or vice versa.
