During class in Homeroom we made self portraits how the first step was we had to write our names on the back of the board then we painted it white. We let them dry then later we coated them in coloured paint such as blue yellow or pink. This was the painting stage for the wood board. We would later use this as the canvas for our self portrait. After this step we got our pictures taken and printed onto an A3 piece of paper we first flipped it over. We then went over the parts of the paper that had important detail with black pastel. We then flipped it around again and put it on the painted wooden canvas and used a red pen and highlighted the lines of our face hair and details. After we lifted it up we used a sharpie to highlight the lines. After we used a sharpie we used black paint then we let it dry. Later on we cut out letters from magazines and made words that express ourselves.
The hardest part was using the black paint it was so difficult not to make a mistake.
The easiest part was painting the board.
I was particularly happy with my hair since it was done pretty nicely.
