Maatauranga days

On Tuesday, we had the maatauranga days at our school. I chose tukutuku. The thing I enjoyed most about tukutuku was making the patterns, and learning about the story behind them. The most frustrating part about tukutuku was tying the knot at the end. Something I need to work on is cutting my string the same size   I personally think that it was easier to use the needles to place your string through the holes, but some people used their hands ! And the reason   I chose this photo, was because it shows me doing one of the cool tukutuku patterns!
