Yesterday we made ice cream as part of an experiment about chemical reactions.
First, we used salt and ice to see if we could attach a short piece of string. We all thought the ice melted faster, but we realised the fingers were close to the ice and the heat was melting it too. What we learned was that salt helps it to stay colder for longer.
