Yesterday Room 4 and 5 got to go out of school to pick up rubbish around the Pt England reserve! We did this to make a positive difference to our community. We were put into 12 different groups. We then got gloves and a bag.
While we were walking down to the reserve we picked up lots of rubbish on the sidewalk. It was surprising how many small pieces of rubbish were on the floor I even found a E2 bottle still filled with liquid. We reached the reserve and started to pick up rubbish.
There was barely any rubbish in the grassy area but there were lots of rubbish near the sidewalks and trees. My group found lots of crazy things like a whole glass bottle, not the small ones – the massive ones. We even found a dead bird. Today was a crazy fun day especially because we didn’t do our homework. Thank you for reading good bye!
