This term for extension we were making a movie for Manaiakalani (a group of schools working together to help each other learn and grow). At the start of the term we had two weeks to decide what our movie was going to be about, we ended up choosing a parody of the song, From the start, by Laufey. We had a storyboard to plan out how the lyrics of the song were going to match what we were doing in the movie. On the second week we also had to fill in some slides to show background understanding, on some slides we had to show the meaning and differences between: Satire and parody, on others it was showing who would most likely be in that scene. On the third week we were sorting out the props and who would actually be in a scene (or who would like to be in a scene), that week I chose to be a dreamer and the gamer (roles in the movie). On the fourth week we were recording the first scene, the ‘dream scene‘, I was first to be recorded and all I needed to do was sit there and look bored. On the third all the way to the fifth we were busy filming other scenes and sorting out who would bring what prop. On the very last week we recorded my other scene, the ‘gaming scene‘, I brang in my Ps1 while someone else brought in their Ps4 controller, since winter (the person who brought the controller) couldn’t bring in his whole Ps4, Mrs Burton let us borrow the school Ps2 and use it for the scene, (We know its now the same, but it’s all we had in the moment,). We went to room 9 and 10 to record because room 9 was empty. Thanks for reading.
