Kia Ora readers!
Since the start of this term, Zoe read us a story about ‘The Witches’ made by Roald Dahl. It is a fictional story all about how the evil witches roam around the town looking for little people, to cast spells on them. As for my blog, Zoe told us that we had to write a description of a character in the book. Therefore I decided to do the description the grand high witch.

The grand high witch is full of ugliness inside and out, a bald head, long nails and a long hooked nose. She hides her true and hideous form through wigs, gloves, and a pretty mask, and she is the leader of all the witches in the whole world. She is intelligent but the one who is full of pride and deceit, messing up smelly little kids. Eventually chopping off their fingers, and getting to the point where they even turn kids into mouses so that people could kill them without knowing that they are kids. This creature is horrible and despises kids. Reading this made me really think about how cruel she is.
From the outside, she looks like a young beautiful woman, but once she takes off her mask, she is a worm-eaten mess, looking like she was just burned from inside and out.
In my opinion think that the witch is really disgusting and a creature with no remorse, and you probably think that too.
Have you read this book before?
