25. GamePlan AKL – Explanation Writing.

Kia Ora Reader,

Today I will be blogging about our Explanation Writing we got given on Monday, We got given a task to do on Monday which was that we had to write about our self’s and why should you get choosed for the GamePlan AKL, ( This GamePlan AKL is actually a scholarship ), So we had to write about our selfs and why do you think you should get selected and also why would the scholarship help us in life.

This  week the Years 8 from Room 10 and 9 has been given a task, and in the task we had to write a Scholarship application, about ourselves and why we be selected for GamePlan AKL Scholarship. From what I understand is that the best answers and writing piece will get their Writing Assessment sent to the GamePlan AKL, and they will be the one who will be receiving the scholarship. In the Writing Assessment we had to explain (not persuade, but explain.) Explain the reason why we should get the scholarship and also how this scholarship could help us, from what I have learnt from this Writing Assessment is that we should be grateful for what we receive and to always mean what we write inside the writing piece.

Here’s my explaining why I should be selected.

I believe I should be selected for the GamePlan Akl 2025 programme because I am eager to learn, grow and prepare myself for the future  as I transition from intermediate school to high school next year. Being a proud Niuean and Cook Islander, I carry the strength and values of my culture and family with me.

I come from a big family with 10 siblings, and I want to be a great older sister who supports and inspires them. I believe being part of the GamePlan programme will help me develop teamwork, leadership, and communication skills that will benefit me in sports and in life. I have big dreams of becoming a doctor one day, and I know that learning discipline and working well with others will help me reach that goal.

In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends, and I also take time to remember and honor my papa who passed away before I was born. This programme would be a great opportunity for me to challenge myself, gain confidence, and prepare for college and beyond. I am ready to work hard, learn from others, and make the most of this experience to become the best version of myself.

This it all that I have to say for this blog post.

Thank you for reading blog post !!
