What is an earthquake?

there are 3 main ways an earthquake can happen. And here is the explanation on all three.

Convergent(Collision): It happens when tectonic plates collide and one often slides under another and this creates earthquakes.

Divergent(Spreading): This is when tectonic plates pull apart. It is like the African tectonic plate and the Somali tectonic plate being split apart and that causes an earthquake too.

Transform(Sliding): This is when the tectonic plates slide horizontally past each other and this causes earthquakes.
