Improper and mixed Number fractoins

Kia ora today I am going to be telling you some information I learnt from maths. Fractions are just numbers that show parts of something. There are two main types called proper fractions and improper fractions. A proper fraction is when the top number is smaller than the bottom number, like 1/2 or 3/4. This means you have less than one whole thing. For example, if you eat 2 slices from a pizza cut into 8 slices, you ate 2/8 of the pizza. An improper fraction is when the top number is bigger than or equal to the bottom number, like 5/4 or 6/6. This means you have one whole or even more than one whole. Fractions may look confusing at first, but they are actually used in everyday life, such as sharing food, measuring ingredients, or telling time. Learning proper and improper fractions helps make math easier and more useful in real life.
