Hello readers! Today in science we made models for power stations that we’ve been researching recently. I did mine with three of my other classmates, we decided to make a hydropower station. This uses water to create kinetic energy that is transformed into electricity using a generator. It’s a renewable source of energy because it uses a source that is constantly renewed.

I think we did an alright job showing how a hydropower station would work, but next time I think we could make it look a bit more accurate to the real thing. Did you know that over 50% of NZ’s power comes from hydropower?
