Hello/Kia Orana readers. Today I am going to talk about the area of rectangles and triangles.

How I worked them out:
Rectangle working out: First I count how many rows there are in the rectangle, then I count how many squares are in a row, after I counted I then times them together to get the answer.
Triangle working out: First I count how many rows there are in the triangle, next I count how many squares are in a row, after I counted I times them together to get the answer, but with the answer I divided it by 2 to get the area.
