Kia ora readers,
My reading group have been reading a book called Making Radio Waves.
It is a story about the real-life kids from Lyall Bay School in Wellington who get to build and run their very own school radio station called MaranuiFM.
This book is about how the kids become radio hosts and do interviews. It also shows you the science of how a microphone turns your voice into an electric current and sends invisible radio waves through the air to peopleβs cars and houses.
My favourite part about this activity was reading the book and looking at the diagrams that show how the waves travel.
Then we did a slide that our teacher made for us.
The slides had questions we had to answer about the book.
Here are the slides:
What do you know about radio waves?
I hope you enjoy and learn things from my post.
Bye bye readers, I hope to hear from you in the comments.
