This week we are celebrating Te wiki ō Te Reo Maori. Rm 17 learned about Kōwhaiwhai patterns and their meanings with whaea moana. The reason why I chose the mangopare pattern is because I like hammerhead sharks and this pattern looks cool.
Mangōpare is a pattern that is shaped as a hammerhead shark
but instead of a shark it’s like a Maori shark with koru patterns on the sides instead of eyes on the side. This pattern means a powerful cultural symbol of strength, resilience, and tenacity.
And that’s why I like Kōwhaiwhai patterns/mangōpare.
Don’t forget to make a kowhaiwhai pattern to and make sure its the magopare.
