I robot movie perspective analysis.

For this analysis I’m going to be focusing my attention on agent Spooner the main character in this movie allowing me to reference more focal points in the movie.Spooner is a detective in 2035 Chicago and in this movie he is investigating the potential suicide of Alfred Lanning but his bias on robots due to his past his Jugement is damaged.the movie has plot twists like the robots braking the 3 laws.

Spooners beliefs are that robots are not to be trusted due to them having no heat which is started when he was in a car crash and the robot made a choice that he said a human wid not make letting a young girl die instead of him.he is distort from this encounter leaving him with a bias towards robots motivating him to focus on his profession to expose their flaws even more leaning into agents spoons resentment for their morality issues.

Spooner’s main characteristics provides a difference of opinion that contradicts most people opinions that robots can do no harm were spooner thinks they can and will getting him into a lot of trouble.it changes the plot when spooner suspects a robot of breaching the three laws of robotics sparking the plot of the movie were the robot sonny runs showing that he is right but no one believes him.

 My insite into agents spooner’s personality is making me remember what we learned about the racism issues in the freedom fighters from a racist person’s perspective but about robots thinking of them as non-human tools of violence.i believe that he is obsessive and paranoid of robots due to his past some things that provide this a robot running with the peruse suspecting it of a robbery when we know they can’t break the 3 laws of robotics or think the robots are listening to his convictions even when it is shut down his refuses over and over again to speak with it in the room.

Agent spooners weak points and strengths are a lot different to other characters were most of his ups and downs are significant for the story like his view on robots helping  him find out about sonny but most will not due to him being a robot helping with the case but his obsessive behavior makes him locked in on sonny and not other robots the viki the real antagonist of the movie and sonny becoming more of a sporting character distracting him from finding the real culprit.

Agent Spooner’s past influenced him to make rash and impulsive decisions on robots suspecting them more than humans hating them blaming them and explicitly hates them coss of his car crash not trusting their humanity but later on he begins have sympathy for sonny that puts him in a jukster position of accepting sonny of being more human but all other robots are bad witch is routed from his fear and prejudice.
