Bubble Tea
Today LS1 was doing something for Bubble Tea because it was Bubble Tea Day.
- First we had to make a name and flavor for our Bubble Tea that we were going to trace. (And my Bubble Teas name was Taro Tempo because my flavor was Taro)
- Then we had to do are trace for of our Bubble Tea color it.
- Then next after all that we had to put in some ingredients and I put the real ingredients for the Taro flavor.
- Lastly we had to make a fair price for our Bubble Tea.

Term 2: Transformers
Our theme for Term 2 is “Transformers”.
We will be focussing on different aspects of performing arts, more specifically drama, but we will look into song and dance as well. It is going to be a fun term of learning for us. It is also an opportunity for us to continue on with our MITEY learning – talking about how we can use drama to express ourselves and our emotions. Get ready for a creative and art-filled term! RC24 I’m Too Fond Of My Fur!
I’m Too Fond of My Fur! by Elisabetta Dami is a marvellous mystery/fantasy fiction book that stands out from the many books in the Geronimo Stilton series. I believe this book is a mystery/fantasy because you don’t know when the story is going to unexpectedly turn for the worse or better. I also believe it is fantasy because there are made-up cities and places, such as New Mouse City, where he lives. In these stories, there are also mermaids, yetis, and dragons, which are all examples of things that you might find in a fantasy story.
In this story, Geronimo gets a call from his good friend Professor von Volt saying that his life is in danger, and Geronimo has to get his secret diary, which is at his house. Von Volt also said that he was in his secret lair in the Himalayas. After he heard that he knew what he must do, off he went to the Himalayas. When von Volt called, he also said something about a YETI, but Stilton didn’t know what to do about that because the phone was dying out. Maybe he just misheard.

Team 2 – Immersion Movie “How Kiwi Saved the Forest”.
Welcome back to Term 2.
Our inquiry topic for this term is Transformers – Performing Arts and Drama theme.
Team 2 chose to make a movie about the story – How Kiwi Saved the Forest retold by André Ngāpō
and illustrated by Isobel Joy Te Aho-White.
A tale set at a time, in the mythical past when Kiwi can fly. But when the trees of the forest are dying, Tāne-hokahoka (guardian of the birds) and Tāne-mahuta (guardian of the trees) ask each bird to come and live on the forest floor and eat the insects that are destroying the trees. Only courageous kiwi bravely agrees and is prepared to give up his life in the sky.
