As y’all already know, this is Mikyrah! MB since this post is a bit delayed heh… but Room 3 have been learning about music from Latin America, as my title for this might have been a small spoiler. This is clearly about a specific beat, also known as the Dembow beat. It’s a beat founded in a few familiar songs that most of us know, maybe specifically in Latin music . . . ? Not sure, but hope y’all enjoyed this !

What challenges do people face when they become refugees.

I firmly believe that sometimes people, like the family in this story, flee their country due to war or poor living conditions. In this story, it was due to war.

This story focuses on war, as several quotes discuss the dangers of remaining here with the Taliban and the fact that they have to escape the country.

In the story, the father expresses how they could not live with one of them dying while begging on the streets. This ultimately prompted them to move forward and escape Afghanistan.

All of this connects back to the fact that people were attempting to escape the country for better living conditions elsewhere.

First of all, how did they manage to leave the country in the first place? After all, Afghanistan is governed by a ruthless unofficial authority.

The family undertook several dangerous trips to escape Afghanistan, showcasing remarkable resilience and courage. One harrowing journey involved braving a fierce storm at sea, where they navigated relentless waves in a small boat. Their determination paid off as they finally reached Pakistan, where they rested for weeks before continuing their arduous journey. Their unwavering spirit highlighted the strength of human will in the face of adversity.

This is illustrated by a scene in the book where the family heads onto a rather disappointing boat filled with people, keeping their faith in Allah as they continue on.

Ultimately, this is just one of the many ways the family used to escape Afghanistan, and there were several other methods they employed as well.

Another point to consider is that you can’t take a boat all the way from Afghanistan to their final destination. Once the family is in Pakistan, they would need a car or some other means of transportation to continue their journey.

Now, this can be seen in the fact that the father of the family managed to get a friend who picked them up and sneakily transported them past the border.

An example of this situation is when they managed to sneak past unsuspecting border control by hiding in the trunk of a car and leaving early. The border control officers were unaware of what was happening. Once they reached the border, they were transported by another boat after bribing the right people.

Ultimately, these methods allowed the family to travel by sea, where they were rescued by Tampa, Australia, which took them to their new home in Christchurch, New Zealand.

In conclusion, the family managed to escape Pakistan by traveling through various means, putting their faith in Allah and using bribery to finally get out of the country.
