Brush your teeth

I just finished my breakfast and i was going to brush my teeth when i head a weird noise coming from toilet i looked and it was a spider. Jumping its way to its web. I don’t really like spiders but i just left it alone to live in peace. After that i just went back to brushing my teeth. Brushing your teeth is really annoying but i know that i still have to do it. After i brushed my teeth, i got ready and left for school. When i got back from school i went to check on the spider. I walked into the toilet and the spider wrote a note on its web. My bed time Routine By: Agcym

Sprinting to bed as I saw Dad coming to check up on me if I was sleeping, Once I got myself set up for bed I quickly turned off the lamp and pretended to sleep. Thinking if my Dad knows I was awake I quickly turned the other way and opened my eyes while my heart was beating faster and faster, “I know your awake” Dad said, Oh no, he asked me if I already brushed my teeth, I was so scared to tell him that I didn’t so I said yes. As he walked out I waited for about 5 minutes then rushed to the bathroom and quickly brushed my teeth, but I had to brush my teeth properly, not just 10 seconds and out, so I took my time and that’s when I heard the toilet flush, that’s when I knew that I didn’t have any time. I rinsed my mouth wash my face, then dried my face and hurried back to bed so my dad doesn’t know that I was in the bathroom, and that’s when I forgot that I left the bathroom light on, I didn’t care and I just fell asleep so I don’t get in trouble from my dad again.

Healthy streams

Healthy streams
A  information report is a short, sharp, concise document which is written for a particular purpose and audience. It generally sets outs and analyses a situation or problem, often making recommendations for future action.

Did you know, 80% of NZ rivers have poor water quality? Here at ATN me and my classmates are testing the water quality in Otaki and understanding the river. You are probably wondering why we are doing this, here’s why: the rivers bring people and land together because the water we drink, the forests, farmers, and our enjoyment all rely on local rivers.

An astonishingly clean River Po in Turin : europe

Otaki rivers

Farmers, and cows are destroying our local streams and rivers in Otaki. New Zealand’s all about “clean green New Zealand dream” but that isn’t going to happen if they don’t stop polluting our rivers and streams. The water is supposed to keep us together but at this rate it is making us fall apart. 80% of our rivers are fair too poor quality so we need to change our ways. That’s why the year 7/8 classes at Otaki College are going to our local streams and rivers to do some testing. This is to see what our water is like in Otaki and to see what we have to change in our waters for the better.

Blog away

Blugger away!

Today we had a day packed with even more learning activities.
What I am taking away today is the new knowledge in calendar management and embed videos on my blog, this gives me new tools to share with my students and share with them my own learning experiences and as Kerry said, “It never ends”

The video we recorded was based on a blog that somebody else created and shared with us. In my personal case I just choose one randomly and it happened to be about a boy that got creative during lockdown.

Different labels, filters (not from insta) for everything makes life easier. categorizing emails and selecting what is more important in the IN tray.

In a nutshell, there are many different tools that can make life easier for a professional being but can also seamlessly move to a normal non background as Venessa explained with her example from Goggle KEEP.

DFI Day one experiences

So today I spent the day learning some amazing stuff.  I started off very enthusiastic, dropped into a OMG this is so much to take in and then from there it was….. my brain is overloaded!!😅

However I got to join some other like minded people on a learning journey that I know I will gain some long lifetime skills from.

I now have a much better understanding of the Manaiakalani Education Trust, its origins, its success so far and more importantly its vision for digital learning in the future.

Dorothy, you are a wonder to listen to, thank you for sharing your knowledge today and I look forward to learning more from you in the next 9 weeks.  Vicki, my digital group guru, thank you for being so easy to connect with and for being such a patient teacher.

Unfortunately my brain is so overflowing I dont think I can pinpoint any one or two things that I have learnt but judging by the fogginess of the brain I have crammed it full of new stuff.

I look forward to next week with bated breath. See you all next week
