Tomato and the Potato
Once upon a Tomato saw a Potato pass by his house and moved in one of the empty houses. Tomato wanted to greet the Potato. “Hi,” the Tomato said nervously to the pale vegetable, ” I saw you moved into this neighbourhood, what is your name?” “Hi there, my name is Potato, what’s your name?” Asked the shy Potato. Why is his name rhyming with my name? That’s not nice! Thought Tomato. Without even answering Potato’s question, Tomato said meet me at the Rainforest but Tomato actually had a fiercely plan.
Potato innocently came to the Rainforest and behind came Tomato. He pushed Potato hard to the ground but Potato sat up bravely ”Do you have anger issues?” Because of that sentence Tomato got more aggressive so he pushed Potato where there were lots of rocks… “Ahhhh!” Screamed Potato, he had smushed his head. Suddenly the Vegetable Ambulance was there and Police had arrived too.
Now apparently Tomato is in jail for 3 months, while the recovered Potato went to New York and with his family he lives a happy Potato life.

We had our Learning Celebration and Ako Meetings last week. Our Learning Celebration was all about FAMOUS NEW ZEALANDERS. We learned how to write correct sentences and put them together to form paragraphs. Then we wrote a REPORT about our famous person. Next we manipulated wire and aluminum to make a statue of the our person. We displayed them proudly at our celebration. Can you spot them on our highlights page below? It’s been a busy term filled with learning and many positive experiences for the children in KUPENGA. Thank you for your support! We have attached a ‘HIGHLIGHTS’ slide for the last five weeks, you can see our children engaged in many learning activities

Sà-wàt-dii khâ Everyone!!
For this task, we had to build something winter-themed in Minecraft
so I decided to make a super cozy
little winter house! Think snow-covered roofs, glowing lights, and warm winter vibes
I found a really cute inspo build on YouTube and followed it while adding my own touches

Here’s the video I used for inspo: [Inspo]

This task is part of the Winter Learning Journey
– basically fun challenges to do while you’re chilling at home during the holidays
You can do them on any day and in any order which makes it way more fun

Let me know what you think of my winter house! I had so much fun building it

From your one and only favourite!! MWAH
G-byeee!

I have done a winter learning journing. This is my Minecraft winter house. The house was a bit hard to make the house but I did. It here is my minecraft house.
Here is my poster for how to be safe at the ocean for Waita week.
| This week my parents came to visit with Mrs Clarke and I shared my learning with them. Here are the goals I have set for the rest of the year. I shared these with my parents. |
Task Description: Malo E lelei and welcome to my blog! Did you know it’s the holidays now yayy! But this holidays I will be blogging some holiday Research tasks! One of my favourite things to do! In this challenge I learnt all about Music. On the first slide I had to insert some links of where I found my information. Then I had to talk about what I learnt today. As you guys already know! Music. Next slide I had to do some facts about Music so I research some facts about Music. Then after the facts I had to insert 2 videos that shows what Music is. Last page I had to do a screen cast. Like talk through the slides. I found it easy and fun to do.
Please leave a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment on my blog.
This week we visited with Shanna and Harold in the Life Education Caravan. We learnt about feelings and how they impact how we act.
Here is a Google Draw I made to show some of what I learnt.
Task description: Today I have completed task 4 for the Winter Learning Journey! Task 4 was to build a Winter Themed Building but there needed to be something built inside it. You can’t really see the inside but I think its Pretty Good. Anyways Here’s the picture!
Task description: In this winter Holiday we have been doing the Winter Learning Journey and I have done task 3 which we had to write about what would is feel like to live in a Igloo and what would we smell need and hear? well your about to find out here’s my blog post!

For this Winter Learning Journey, I went outside on a clear night and I first opened up the app that I downloaded which is SkyView. SkyView will help you find a real constellation! Here are some photos that I captured at night! The two star constellation that caught my eyes were Taurus and Scorpion because of how they shaped like!
The constellation Scorpius, often called the Scorpion, is a distinctive and easily recognizable pattern of stars in the southern sky. It is one of the zodiac constellations and is known for its resemblance to a scorpion, complete with claws and a curled tail. Scorpius is also known for its bright stars
Taurus is a star constellation in the night sky, easily recognizable by its V-shaped pattern of stars that forms the bull’s head and horns. It’s a zodiac constellation, meaning the sun appears to pass through it as part of its yearly journey across the sky.
I found this activity enjoyable because I got the opportunity to find out more about each and every STAR constellation in the WORLD!
Task description: Today for Holiday Blogging our challenge was created by Sophia and she thought we should learn all about ANZAC day. I found out some really interesting facts about ANZAC Day and why it is important. Check out my Holiday Blogging Presentation and my volg at the end to show my learning. Please leave me a positive comment on my blog.

Kam na Mauri everybody! Today for my WLJ Activity I made a poster based on Kiribati Language! I searched up Kiribati greetings and words that you can learn. I also made my own version of the Kiribati flag and made sure my background matched the flag. Thank you for checking out my blog, and have a wonderful week!

How My Family Can Save Power (and the Planet) This Winter! First off we can start by turning off the lights at times where we are not using it, or we can reduce hot water use with shorter showers, and consider a water-saving shower head. For saving our planet we can Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Minimize waste generation, reuse items whenever possible, and recycle materials to conserve resources and landfill space! And that’s how my family and I can save power and save the planet! I hope you learned something from my blog, and have a wonderful week!

For 2 days we been making art around the Matariki stars and I will tell you there names and what there connected to or what there roles are
First We have The Mother Of the Cluster Matariki She represents well being and reflection and connection
And The Oldest is Tupu-ā-Nuku her role is the food that grows above ground like eggplants and all of those things
The Second Oldest Tupu-ā-rangi and her role is the food that grows under ground and like Sweet potatoes and other things
The middle star is Waiti and she is connected to fresh water fish and fresh water also like fresh water eelgs
The The second middle star is Waita he is connected to salt water fish and salt water fish also like the kingfish more
The other middle star is Ururangi his role is that he can control the winds and weather affects the mood and the new year
And one of the youngest is Pōhutukawa and she remembrance those who had passed and connects us with them to shes also the one that takes them to the spirit realm
And the youngest of them all is hiwa-i-te-rangi she is the wishing star so when you wish upon a star it is probably hewa-i-te-rangi
and here is a photo of what I made
and a Link if you like
See You Next Time
Hey everyone! This is my first post for the WLJ (Winter Learning Journey). Today I chose to do activity four, which was to build a winter theme built. I built a winter and cherry blossom themed house. I used inspiration from an easy youtube tutorial. Here is a video showing a tour of my house, check it out!
I hope you liked my house! Here is the like to the youtube video tutorial I used for my inspiration https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fN_5-6fAJM&list=PLEbUh9FnaHwif5G4STcTHMz0X6HF2cV3R Thank you for checking out my blog! Have a

Byeee!
this winter im doing the winter learning journey and i have done how my family can save this winter. hope you like it!
The Plastic Bottle Rocket Challenge was an excited way to explore the laws of physics while having fun and using everyday accessible materials. It was a fun process, can be boring at times but the results defiantly were worth it. (Maybe). It looks like a simple experiment but you can learn about real scientific principles like net force, thrust, air resistance and ‘Newton’s Laws of Motion’

Aim : To investigate how and what forces act on a water powered plastic bottle rocket, and how it affects its motion, and how different the physic influence and the height and distance it travels.
Calculate the speed:
Equipment:
Method :
What actually happens?
In the plastic bottle rocket challenge, we use air pressure to launch a bottle filled partly with water. When we pump air into the bottle, pressure builds inside. Once released, the air forces the water out of the bottle, pushing the ‘rocket’ upwards in the opposite direction.
Newton’s Third Law: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction
Discussion
The motion of the rocket is governed by Net Force, which is a result of all forces acting on it.
At launch, the thrust is stronger than the gravitational force and air resistance, giving a net upward force, which accelerates the rocket.
As the water runs out, thrust decreases, and gravity and air resistance begin to slow the rocket down. Eventually, gravity becomes the dominant force, pulling the rocket back down. This change in force strength throughout the journey explains the curved path and eventual fall.
The strength of the thrust depends on both the pressure of air inside the bottle and the mass of water. More air means higher pressure and a stronger force, but too much water makes the rocket heavy, decreasing acceleration. The ideal balance between water volume and air pressure results in the best speed and height. Is this enough discussion Mr smalley?
Physics Concepts
Improvements
Conclusion
This experiment isn’t just a fun one to do but also a great way to to understand net force, Newton’s laws and the impact of changing variables on motion. With improvements based on physics concepts lead to much better higher rockets. This actual rocket science for real.
