The Year 7/8 Trip To Wellington

Two weeks ago our principal, Mrs Lindsay gave the year 7 & 8 students the opportunity to go to Wellington for a week. First, we travelled from Paihia to the Auckland Airport, from there we flew to Wellington. We drove our hired vans to the Te Herenga Waka Marae where we settled in. I really enjoyed staying at the marae because of the carvings that were embedded on the marae walls. Each and every carving represented different tribes from up north to down south. We weren’t given the opportunity to learn about each carving but I still enjoyed admiring the detail in them and the stories they all told. Lastly, I would love to say thank you to Mrs Lindsay for letting us see and do what we did during the week with you. Nga mihi.

Leaving a legacy

I had to explain how people leave a legacy behind them and also how I would. I dont really know what legacy I’m leaving but I’m willing to find out. This year I stood as kaitataki for my school so that might leave a legacy but I dont really know anything else. Anyone can leave a legacy.
We all want to leave our mark on this world to know that our life mattered. What does it mean to leave a legacy? It means putting a stamp on the future.

Legacy learning.

Kia ora this past 2 week my class Nga rau rangatira has been learning about legacy learning like how people have left a legacy of their own for example kingi Tawhio

Whaaia te iti kahurangi ki te tuuoho koe me he maunga teitei.

Aim for the highest cloud so that if you miss it you will hit a lofty mountain…

Witch mean never give no matter what get pushing to the limit.

Ta Hemi Henare

Kua tawhiti ke to haerenga mai. Kia kore e haere tonu. He nui rawa o mahi. Kia kore e mahi tonu.
We have come too far, not to go further. We have done too much, not to do more.

Witch we come to close to give up.

Ko te reo te Mauri o te mana Maori.
The language is the lifeforce of Maori.

so back in the day te reo was not aloud so the life force was not there but sins ta himi henare has brought back te reo the life force has come back but if it gos once more the life will vanish.

See just thows two people left a great legacy even you can leave a legacy of your own dont be shy.

Ladybird

Ladybird

Bird’s singing, kids playing, It was a sunny day on the evening of a Saturday. On a
tree was a ladybird, she flew over a few flowers with bees buzzing
as they collected pollen.

Though this ladybird looked like the rest she was different. While the other
ladybird’s ate, she flew across the land watching over the kids and bees
wishing she was a little kid throwing a Frisbee round or making flower crowns.
When the sun rose on the north side of the park the birds didn’t sing nor did the sun
shine even tho it was up so high in view, no lightness covered the park.Instead
it grew darker and more gloomy, kids ran in horror from what they saw….

The park so gloomy it wasn’t recognizable, the children that once loved

the park now fear it knowing it will cause nightmares.

I swear to God he levitated

I swear to God he levitated                                                                                    I  have a friend who I’ve known since I was very little.

One day, when he was six, I was at his house when he got this absolutely god-awful stomach pain.

I mean, he was literally writhing in pain.

So, his mom took him to the doctor’s office, where the doctor took one look and told her to take him to the ER.

She feared something along the lines of an intestinal rupture. About half way to the hospital, my friend suddenly let rip the loudest, most powerful fart any of us had ever heard. I swear to God he levitated.

We thought the upholstery in the car seat had ripped. After a good 30 seconds of intense farting, he looked at his mom and said, “I feel all better now!”
