Flying Squirrels?! Really?! Well yes, it is true there are such things as flying squirrels. Did you know that flying squirrels don’t actually fly? You might think I’m tricking you, but actually they glide from one tree to the other. I had to make a model of the flying squirrel with cardboard. It’s not that good, but I gave it a try. Anteater VS Aardvark

Step it up activity 2

This is a challenge between anteaters and aardvarks, who will win?  These are very similar creatures, but are surprisingly different. For example: Anteaters are animals that eat at day time, while the Aardvark is nocturnal and eats at night time. Anteaters and Aardvarks both have some different special abilities for defence and to eat. Let’s see which animal is the winner, along with some facts.

1. Aardvarks can hear very well with their big ears

2. Anteaters have very long tongues good for slurping all those termites, they can poke their tongue in and out 150 times per minute.

3. Aardvarks are very fast diggers, they are so fast that they are faster than a human using a shovel.

4. Anteaters humongous claws are good for digging up termites nest, but force them to walk on their knuckles.

Here is a description of what the anteater and aardvark looks like.
Anteaters have a very long and bushy tail with a mouth so small, but the nose and tongue are so long.
Aardvarks look smaller, but weigh more. They have humongous ears and small claws.
