in a town in america there was this man he was 27 years old. his name was Cody. Cody was married to a wonderful lady named Emma, Emma was 26 years old. Emma ended up having heart cancer. she spent 2 years in the hospital seeing if they could cure it but they couldn’t. so before she knew she had cancer she had a baby named Ava, Ava was 4 when Emma had found out she had cancer.

4 months after she found out she got taken away. Ava was 7. when Emma got taken away she had to tell Ava so she spent 20 minutes talking with Ava about what cancer is what it can do. July 21st 1996 Emma got taken away. that was the day Ava saw her mum get forced to leave her family and her home. Ava ran up to Cody her father and gave him a huge cuddle. then he said ” come on lets go home”.

so 10 weeks has past both heart broken because both Cody and Ava both knew they were gonna have to kill her. so Cody sat in the same spot for 2 hours thinking. he thought what if Ava has cancer is well because Emma said she had Ava while she had cancer. so Cody took Ava to the doctors and asked if she had cancer. the doctor said ” i’m so sorry Cody but you’re daughter Ava has head cancer which is brain cancer.

15 weeks later the doctors called and said we need her now. so he packed a bag for Ava. Cody took Ava to the hospital and Cody said ” Ava come here” and he gave her a huge hug and said ” i’m sorry Ava!. the tears dripping from Ava’s eyes she said ” i love you dad” Cody said ” i love you to!” Cody walked Ava into the room and said “goodbye”.

Cody went home and balled his eyes out. he went to his boss at work and he said “boss my wife and my daughter is gone. i’m sorry but i’m leaving my job.

3 years later Cody had joined his job again. he had put photos of Emma and Ava everywhere! in his pocket in his room on his diner table on his bed on a pillow in his car. but one day he was coming back from his job at 10 pm and he saw these thugs jumping the little boy he looked about 14. so Cody went over and said STOP!. the boy ran away and the thugs killed Cody.

How to Find An Equivalent Fraction

To find an Equivalent Fraction you need to take one fraction like
40/60 and then you need to find a similar fraction so for this one what you
need to do is simplify the Numerator first. See what are the common factors
and pick the lowest one for this one the lowest number is 2 and and a 0 no its
20 now what you have to do is find out how many twenties are in the numerator
which are 2 now how many twenties are in the denominator which is 3 therefore
the equivalent fraction for this question is ⅔ and that is how you find an
equivalent Fraction here is a
drawing to simplify what to do.

Now we have the fraction of 4/6 we then need to simplify so divided the denominator and the numerator by 2 and the final Fraction is ⅔.

Maths – Decimals

Just in a few weeks I have been learning
about Decimals and adding 1dp towards them
as you can see this is just some of my work I have done this term, I understand what to do but I just need to adjust to the questions a bit better. This work is about adding, multiplication, subtracting , and skipping. I have learnt how to add 1dp to 2dp and I can understand them easily.

For a few weeks we have been learning about decimal points and as the days came past we started to learn more and more about how to use decimals, we had tricky questions that we needed to answer but together we made it through the tough decimals. To be honest i found it not so easy but then again not hard as well, so I was just a 0.2 towards hard haha.

This past term or so we have been learning about decimals and all all the things involved with it.

This photograph shows some work that I had to do, which was expanding decimals, finding the value of a specific number, , multiplying, adding, subtraction etc

In these 2 number pages I did work such as making and understanding number lines and finding where a specific number on a number and a tiny but of equal then, less than and greater than

In these pages the work that I did on this one was doing expanding, multiplying and dividing by 10’s, 100’s, 1000’s and so on and so forth, also rounding to the nearest decimal point and making words out of decimals.

We have been learning about decimals – what is a decimal number ? Drawing pictures of a decimal number, knowing where they are on a number line, the place values, putting them in order, multiplying and dividing them by 10, 100, etc.

Lately in maths i have been learning about decimals,

I have learned how to do different types of things to do with decimals. For example how to change decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals, We also had to multiply and divide the decimals by 10-100, we had to round the decimal to the nearest 1dp/tenth 2dp/hundredth and so on we had expand the decimal, find the value of a specific number, we had to draw a decimal its like doing fractions but decimals, for me to know how to multiply and divide we had to do some jumping like to times we had to make the decimal jump to the right and for division it had to jump to the left. we also learnt that this means (Nr) nearest to. Last but not least we got taught that Ascending is low to high and descending to high to low. I also knew how to order decimals

I found learning decimals is pretty challenging but fun at the same time it did take me quiet a long time to learn but i have had lots of fun doing it. How to do lots of things with decimals first class doing decimals i didn’t know exactly what to do but then i have learnt from that. Like when Mr gave me a sheet to work on to know if we do know how to order decimals when the results came back i was shocked i thought i knew more.

this week we been learning about a decimal point are used for.a decimal points are used to spilt the hole numbers from the fractions. and we been learning how to make hole numbers too.but mostly we been learning how to time decimals and how to write decimal numbers in expend from we also learn how to do change it from decimals to fractions.this is shown in the photo above

Tainui Marae

In the morning I jumped out of my bed and ran to the sink for water. Then my mum told me my koro had died, “the sad look on her face”.

Well we waited for the body to come down to Tainui marae we strated cooking food for dinner.

When the body arrived we walked it in to the marae. First off koro Rawiri did a karakia. Then they talked about my koro how he was a hard working person before he had that car crash.

After all that we went and had some dinner. “Man i was so hungry”
we stufted our faceses with all the Kai moana food and all the huarakau. Then I ran off with my friends counsins and some of my uncles to play spot light.

The Revolotion

Do do do da ba di do music shouted out of the hall. On 27/5/19 9:15 the whole school went over to the hall to see a group called reveloution. What they did was sing like four songs and tell storys about their life. after they introduced themselves and they sang a couple of songs and then a guy stepped up and told us a couple of stories about his life and what nice things did for him.

One of the stories was about two ill old men one was blind and the other was very ill and the blind guy and the sick guy became friends.After their freindship bloomed the blind was named Mac and the ill was Tom.Mac asked what it was like outside the window and tom replied it is sunny the park is full of kids every day he told that lie because there was no window in that room in the first place.One night tom went out of the room and took to imeadate surgery because he was ill and a nurse came in and told mac the bad news and then mac asked the nurse what it was like outside the window the nurse was confussed
and then the nurse said what do you mean there is no window in this room.Then mac thought how much tom did for him.

Then he gave us a couple more songs .Then he got four kids and a teacher for a dance battle it was really funny and cringy to watch they all did a good job at danceing in front of around four hundred kids and like fourty teachers .

the two things i liked about the show was the dance compatition and the singing.
