This is a blog about snag. Whaea Annie made room 4 a test because we were reading The past beneath Our Feet and I got 1/5 i dont know  all of them so I guessed all of them later on the teacher said to make a DLO so I did and I had to spell 5 words they were eazy. I had so much  fun and I would like to do it again.

In Room 4 we have been reading ‘The Past Beneath Our Feet’.  We have been learning about words from the story and this is what I have done!

This week we have been reading the Past Beneath Our Feet. It is about the past buried underground, like fossils, bones and ancient Maori tribes.  We did a test,I got 2 out of five. One of the words I got wrong was, Snag. I had to write it and write synonyms about it. This is it!

We have been learning about the word ‘Snag’ There are a few meanings for snag like: caught,catch, drawback and glitch.

This is my vocabulary learning. It was very fun and I wish to do it again. For the vocabulary learning we had to do a digital form to see if we got it right or wrong and learn about the five words on a slide.

This week for my national day I have done hot cross buns It was fun I like finding the facts it was fun.

Today our class had to celebrate te reo. I drew some maori  art to celebrate Te Wiki o the Reo Maori.  It was hard to make a design but I picked a love heart because it was much easier to draw.

This week we have been learning about Maori language week our reading task is doing 5 words from this week 5 words from our slide show I loved making my art and it was really cool making it have you made art like I have before?

This week was Maori  language week and our reading task was based on that so we got to choose a create task to do involving Maori language week and I chose art.

I enjoyed making up my own Maori art.

The Next thing we had to do was find out the meanings of these four words:

1. Motu means Land, nation,island or country.
2. Kaimoana means sea food.
3. Kohi/kohia means collect gather or harvest.
4. puritia means to help keep or retain.
