Yesterday i found a book ,it was called DRAW faeries, From this book i found out a lot i read and focused my mind to learned so much for this book

During the holidays i went row boating at Avon river with my parents at Antigua we went for one hour and we saw a bunch of ducks
We have been learning about how to hug-hold the iPad.
We need to hug-hold so we don’t drop or break the iPad.
This is a photo of us hug-holding as we played Follow the Leader.
The way we play the game is we follow someone, then we freeze and change the leader. If we say the “screen is lava” we put it on the floor or the table and we don’t touch the iPad. If you touch it, it might be hot. We do this so we can listen and learn.
We are proud of our class because we kept our iPad safe.
The trickiest part of the game was remembering to always hug hold and not touch the iPads when the “screen is lava”.
Room 9 has had an awesome first day of school. We have been getting to know each other and the routines of our classroom. We had our first Cybersmart lesson which we will share soon, as well as our first swim in the pool for 2024. And of course, we had some free choice time, exploring all the great toys and learning equipment we have in our room and playing nicely together.

It has been a busy time but lovely to see everyone again. We have been getting our routines ready and having a look at what our year will look like for our learning. In reading, we are working on our comprehension skills to be able to read fiction and non-fiction texts no matter the context. In writing we are working on organising our writing to flow better as well as to entertain our readers. No0one wants to read something boring. In mathematics we are continuing our Prime math journey, which is alot more structured and addressing the needs our students have presented. While also focussing on our basic facts. 
We were learning about a prayer in samon and its about the food to pray and we always pray its so we did are own one and we worked about it and it is good when people pray well you start eating and its good to do this prayer becuase its all about jesus.
Today I was learning about the samoa prayer and it was about the food and about blessed us and Land and Give food and blessed it and send the angel down to help us .
Summer is the best because you can go for swim.
Kia ora for my Summer Learning Journey I have completed the kickstart activity. What I have added into my beach is palm trees, a few people,clouds and the last one are birds. I was going to be creative by making my own shapes for the beach so I can picture in my mind what this beach is going to look like and also what colors I’m going to use for it. Once I got the picture in my mind I was thinking of adding some different colors that no one has added into their sunset beach so I was going for a purple,peach last yellow.
I have really enjoyed this SLJ because I was being creative with a task I have never done and trying my best to make it catchy and make it look wonderful.
Beethoven went deaf when he was older. Ode to Joy is a famous song he wrote that is 200 years old. I think the song was meant to make people feel happy.
Here is my song I wrote. Some parts are fast and some parts are slow. My song wasn’t hard to make. But it would be really hard to write a song in real life.

What a great day we had today on our first day back. Everyone shared what they did in the holidays and caught up with their friends. We had Mr Butler come in for P.E. and then we had a creative afternoon doing some drawing. They told me that they are looking forward to coming back tomorrow!
Weka Iti had a great first day at school for 2024. We are all super excited to be at school and meet our classmates. Today we learnt a little about each other, we made some play dough which looks and feels fantastic, we did some PE with Mr Butler and we got our photo taken by the Kaniere School sign. We are looking forward to sharing our learning with you this year. Please let us know if you would like our play dough recipe, it is super easy to make!!
the holidays mean freedom from school and peace and quiet.i like running away
from school.also holiday gaming is fun.
the holidays mean that I can have a rest and get to see my other family members and find me a job put I am still looking for one. it was really harder than I thought. but I was really happy when I got to see my family. but i didn’t know when I started back at school and I really didn’t want to go back to school.
