Hello and welcome back to my blog posts, in English we have a been working on literacy, for our NZQA tests. The two test we have to pass in reading and writing I have already pasted both of those tests, but I still need to practice for other tests in the future, One thing we have been practicing is some comprehension tasks. Basically the comprehension are to be able to acknowledged the information you have read and be able to write down the answers to the questions that are provided down bellow, an easy way to under stand what you are reading is to re-read the story as many time as you need before submitting your answers.  If you want to see my work its down below

1. Sustainability is what helps us deal with fulfilling our needs while maintaining all the connections that we all must have, not just the connection or relationship with other people, but all the things we see around us balanced and lasts for a long time. As a human, we are what our world needs because our sustainability depends on how we act everyday. Put simply, sustainability is the process of maintaining something forever, keeping it balanced and taking care of it in a right way that will impact the present and future generations, especially in helping our natural resources to replenish and fulfill our ultimate needs.

• Pollution – a presence of any materials, substance, chemicals, thing that causes an adverse change in our environment and harms it in many various ways. It greatly damages not only our environment, but also our health and the way we should live by bringing distinct toxic substances, dangerous chemicals, wastes that aren’t in the right place where they should be, harmful objects, carbon dioxide, etc. It has a broad effect that consumes the sustainability of our environment and all of these are the results of human activities and natural occurrences such as calamities. In fact, it’s hard to stop the contribution of pollution and its continuously growing effect since we have lived in many years while simultaneously making it bigger unconsciously. 

• Climate Change – long-term changes or shifts in temperature and weather patterns which are caused by a lot of human activities and can also be natural. It comes from burning fossil fuels, cutting down trees or deforestation, transportations, factories, etc. They all emit greenhouse gasses which include carbon dioxide that trap the sun’s heat which causes rise in temperature and weather changes. 

• Lack of Natural Resources – people have been abusing their own resources by taking all their needs more than the capabilities of natural resources to replenish themselves as an action of helping people with their daily necessities/basic needs. In many years of abuse, many updates have been disseminated but humans are more likely to ignore it and continue on having their necessities more than they need in reality.

3. Nowadays in our current state, we all know that the cause of the existence of environmental issues are us humans too. If we take care of everything in our world, we will be able to take care of our generation, including the future generations, and more likely cause a big change . Technically, our actions have an impact on our environment and it affects the way we maintain our lives. Changing our actions into the right ones will show big outcomes such as reducing pollution and when it comes to our natural resources, we must change the way we fulfill our needs. Abusing natural resources won’t help the environment, especially those who aren’t renewable resources. Replacing our wrongdoings by right actions as soon as possible is all that we can do to sustain our life and maintain the balance our world has in economy, environment, and equity. 

4. In textiles, before we start our work, we’re taking all the materials that we will be needing to be able to finish and do our product. In talking about ‘product’, we indeed do and sew fabrics to come up with a necessary object. We don’t just sew for nothing, but we sew because for us, we need it and keep it until it lasts for how long it can be. The fabrics that we also use for sewing aren’t all new, but are mostly from scraps and left fabrics from the previous activity. In point of fact, we are responsible for taking care of what we have finished from the textiles class and use them for their right usage. Basically, we fulfill our needs by sewing and maintaining the balance of the materials while doing it, using in the right way, and keeping it until we can use it. We don’t just throw them away when they look old, and all of our products are also recyclable and reusable by other people.
