the great rocket experment

it was a cold winter’s day. Our class went out to launch their rockets. My rocket had three fins and the body was two 1.5 liter bottles with the back cut off them. When we launched our rocket, it had a hole in the side so we couldn’t launch the rocket so we missed out. Image result for bottle rocket

The Great Rocket Experiment

Our rocket was a simple rocket, it had four wings and colourful. I wasn’t there to make the rocket so score for me. When we first went out to go launch the rocket I was the safety advisor, I kept everyone back and made sure the area was safe. We were first to shoot the rocket and it did pretty well. The only downside is that one of our wings flew off so when I got back to class I grabbed the sellotape and stuck so much on that there was absolutely no chance that it would come off ever again.

Anxiety Project (Animals)

26.06.19
In int we are doing a project on anxiety. Karen, Hannah, Charlotte, Jess, Alana and I are in a group and figuring out how to reduce anxiety. So far we have found out that animals help anxiety. We are trying to find and contact a place around our area with animals such as the SPCA or HUHA. Then if we find a place we will gather a group of students with anxiety and take them to where ever.

28.06.19
We have chosen to ask HUHA if we could do this project there, we have emailed them and are waiting on a response. We are hoping they agree to this because we all are very excited.
We think they should reply by Monday next week.

For INT, my group lily, Hannah, Charlotte, Alana, Jessica and I are res
earching about things we could help deal with Anxiety.
We have discussed and found that animals help lower Anxiety’s  in schools, and the community.
people often feel calmer and more relaxed being with animals.
We were thinking that we could bring students together that might have some anxiety issues and organise a trip to the SPCA where animals are social towards people, or we could bring animals into schools for people to stay by.
So far into this project we are trying to contact other people for further advice and information

Our anxiety project

Image result for cat photoFor our group project we are researching anxiety and finding a way to make a difference in the community. Charlotte, Karen, Lily, Jessica, Alana, and I are researching possible ways that will help decrease anxiety in school, we have found and researched that animals decrease anxiety, and so we decided that we would try and find a way to get animals into our schools or we would take our pupils to animal shelters or other places to try and decrease anxiety in our pupils. We are now trying to find and contact possible places that will allow their animals to participate in this project, and help us further in this investigation.

Matariki learning.

Matariki facts.

This week me and my school have been learning about more Matariki facts like.

There’s more then 7 stars there are actually 9 stars the two that we did not know about their names are Hawaii and pahutakawa.

Matariki is the Maori name for the Pleiades star cluster.

It rises during Pipiri (June or July) and marks the beginning of the Maori new year.

The word is an abbreviation of Ngā Mata o Te Ariki (Eyes of God)
that God is Tawhirimatea God of the weather.

That is only some of what my school has been learning I really do not know what ells to say except thanks for reading my blog.
