Hello hello bloggers!!

This is my last blog of term 3!! this year has gone by so fast

But into the task ,so for writing these past weeks we have been learning and identifying topic sentences supporting details and concluding sentences!! So you might be asking what is a Topic sentence?well a Topic sentence is like the intro to your topic for me my topic was Hoiho the native New Zealand bird or yellow eyed penguin.Know what is a supporting detail well that is like a more explanation to your topic.And finally your might be asking what is a concluding sentence??Well that links back to your topic and dose not add any extra information.So we learnt all this and more and we had had to use this new learning and apply it to our writing.So knowing this I wrote a paragraph about the amazing penguin the Yellow eyed penguin or Hoiho.My writing was mainly about what threats the Hoiho faces like predators disease and human contact.I did this on the amazing Google docs!!!!

THIS IS MY LAST BLOG OF THE TERM and we are learning about introduced predators and how they are dangerous to our native wildlife,rats,possums,stoats are all the introduced predators in New Zealand and they eat our native wildlife and our native plants.25 Million native birds get killed every year because of introduced predators and stoats eat 12.5 pīwakawakas every day just to stay alive.There is this poison called 1080 which kills introduced predators but doesn’t only kill predators,they kill dogs and cats as well and people protest about it.

Salam guys in class we have been learning about nothing we have been doing another thing with paper from a boy named Alex and his robot got broken mysteriously and the person was The Brainwasher.

My task was to go on Canva and make a few slides and talk about Solar Energy and put questions such as Who Invented Solar Energy?, How Much do Solar Panels Cost? and so on.

I am proud of this because I put literally everything on this work like I mean everything. A challenge was I had is to find the template I needed for this until I found a perfect template. Bye bloggers see you next time

Hey guys I’m Joey!

Today I am going to share my NEW create task with you:)

Its about a missing note book with Top Secret!!! the create task I choose is to make a poster that talks about the most helpful clues and the least helpful clues. which is really interesting!

I feel bad for Dr. Kim( the person who first saw the Top secret note book has vanished). I feel bad for Dr. Kim because she needs that for the rocket launch so when she saw the note book has vanished she was shocked!

I hope she finds the one who stole the Top secret note book and complete the launch(｡･ω･｡)ﾉ♡

Today I am doing Friday Finish!

And it is the last day of Term:3!!!!!!

Yay!

The book this week was called:The challenge to protect wild life

Here’s facts about the book:

1)DOC is a company to protect native wild life from predators

2)Mustelids are the predators that were introduced to New Zealand

3)The Mustelids are stoats,  Rats,  possums,  weasels and ferrets

4)Female stoats can have up to 12 kits at a time

5)Female kits can have babies when they are only 3-4 weeks old and still in their den

6)The south island has a large number of seeds

7)The predator cycle goes Summer, when forest trees flower heavily a lot of seed is produced, Autumn when seeds abounant, the rodent population increases rapidly… Winter, spring, summer onwards

That was 7 facts about the book!

The create Task I did was make a warning poster for a predator And I rate it a 710 because I was a bit fun and really fast and easy.

In steps web  I have been doing visual memory  and when I get the same one there is something in side the purple  people I press on it and I get the same one that thing is gone a pop up and it will be there and sometimes I get silver and gold but if  I get nothing I get nothing . bye and the last day of school and then no school!

Hello bloggers in today’s blog we are going to talk about my create task and the text ”The challenge to protect wild life” in this text its talking

about the predators that are killing birds and about doc and predator free 2050 helping to eradicate all stoats, rats, and Mustelids those

predators killed over 50 kinds of birds already.The introduced predators ship rats and Norway rats these rats are VERY HUNGRY with

eating native bird chicks and eggs aswell as insects plants and seeds.Stoats we introduced to NZ in the 1800s  to control the rabbit

population but instead of controling the rabbit population the population of native bird species went down by a lot. Possums also introduces

in the 1800s hoping to establish a fur industry they strip the forest canopy and cause forest collapse they also compete with native birds and

reptiles for food also they kill nesting birds chicks and eggs they carry and spead disease Tb. Create tasks.

reflection: these tasks were easy and kinda fun to do.

Programs like , DOC ( Department of conservation ) And Predator free 2050 are working to get those introduced predator populations back to being low, Our native species are endangered and at risk of being extinct soon so those programs have predator traps , and lots of different ways to help our environment. They need local towns , communities , cities , just as much help to save our native species .

Here are some endangered species!

⯌ Maui dolphin ( About 48 – 69 recorded left )

⯌ Canterbury Knobbled Weevil ( fewer than 100 mature adults in the wild )

⯌Mokohinau Stag Beetle ( Unknown , they fear it may be extinct already )

⯌ Karure black robin  ( About 350 adults left)

⯌ Tara iti ( Fairy tern ) ( About 50 with only 11 breeding couples left )

These are only 5 of like 1000

We need help from everywhere!!

So for my create task 2 I did create task 3

And for create task 3 we had to make a predator free sanctuary , and mine turned out really nice !! It has some premade food since they cant catch it , a harakeke plant ( flax) Burrow for sleeping , silver fern , a den for nursing , some stones to like rest or play on , a river for drinking and  a kakabeak tree

Greeting’s!!!!! bloggers today I’ll be showing you another reading create task and the walt is Check for understanding  before , during and after the reading texts.

What I did: for my create task Was a Canva poster of a pest or some other predators being wanted I made a cool design about it. The animals I used for it was stoats , rats and possums .

All about it: the task took me about 12 minutes , it was easy but not hard . The challenging task was easy. The text title was How to control introduced  predator . The thing a learnt from the text was be kind to nature don’t hunt or kill native animals to country’s be respectful , keep your dogs on the leash because native animals are endangered.

What I like about it: The thing I like about this create task was how easy and funny the predators look like.

This week my class read protecting our native species or something and it was about pests and how DOC are trying to protect them.Another thing the article talked about was how much progress DOC have made.

For my first create task I made a wanted poster for a predator/pest. my chosen pest was stoats and on our poster we had to include a pic of pest, name, last seen location, reward, and the crime it was committing like eating chicks etc.

Something I liked about this task was choosing the pest, making the reward and deciding the crime.

Refection:I liked this task cos it was fun and I got to make a lot of things up. I liked the article this week cos It gave me a lot of new information and learnt and little on how I can help the animals in danger from rats and stoats etc.
