Equipment

• 2l  plastic bottle  
• Air pump
• Water
• Aqualad rocket
• String for pressure launcher 
• U peg for stand 
• Safety glasses 
• Open field 
• 10 pumps of air 

Method 

1. Fill the bottle with water a quarter of the bottle.
2. Then in then look for an open field then put all the stuff like safely glasses on
3. then bring air pump and the string 
4. Grab the bottle then flip the stand upside down then screw it on.
5. But put the peg under it  so the launcher doesn’t fly away .
6. Next grab the string then put your safety glasses on.
7. Then step on the pump 10 times then grab the string 
9. Lastly pull it then it will fly.

Rocket tips

We did 20 to 40 but we did not do up to 50psi. That was our limit.

If you do it, wearing safety glasses comes first.

  4. Go to an open field then sit up the equipment then put the water bottle in the rocket launcher 
  5. Put the peg up then push the  air pump down how many times you want but if you want it to go high push the air pump about 15 times.

We went outside and put a plastic bottle filled with a third of water then you put it on the launcher and pump air into it with an air pump then you pull a string and the bottle goes flying up and across the way that the wind is going.

Then we went inside and did instructional writing about how to launch it.

Open field

Method

1. First put a pair of safety goggles on so that you are not sprayed in the eye. Place the Aquapod rocket launcher in an open space with no trees around a field or a  park is a good place for this.
2. Next fill your 2L plastic bottle up with water until it is ⅓ full, then put it in the bottle launcher by attaching the bit where you drink from onto the bottle stand.
3. Next place the U peg over the Aquapod rocket launcher and push down with your foot so the peg goes into the ground until it is sturdy enough that it would not go flying.
4. Then plug the air pump into the aquapod rocket launcher piece so that when you press down on the pedal air goes in.
5. Push down the pump until the PSI gets to about 35 then tie the string around the fake cap on the aquapod rocket launcher so that when you pull the string it turns the safety lock and the  bottle goes flying.
6. Well done you have successfully launched your rocket

If you put a lot of water in a bottle rocket and then put the air in it, it will not go as high as a third of the bottle rocket filled with water.

But if you put no water in the bottle rocket it will just do flips in the air  and would not go far.

If it was 75% then it would do the same thing as if it was full because there is still too much water in the bottle rocket.

Hello everyone!

Today I will be talking about arctic wolves adaptations. Arctic wolves live in Antarctica, in the freezing cold so they have a double very thick coat of fur to make sure they don’t freeze. Even their paws are very thick and patchy, their paws are warmer, but  the body is all the same temperature compared to the paws. Their paws are practically built in snow shoes! That is their physical side then there’s arctic wolves behavioural side. For their behavioural side they are born mature, they know how to respect animals they do not eat and be very sensible.

Well there are 2 adaptations about these wolves, bye bye!

Habitat

What predators eat pandas

Only two species of pandas the names of the two pandas are The scientific species name for the giant panda is Ailuropoda melanoleuca and red panda.

This fortnight, we have been doing science with Whaea Moana! For science we have been observing, estimating, and smelling.  What I mean by smelling is that we have been putting types of animal bones inside cups with liquid in them. Liquids like, white vinegar, Coke, malt vinegar, black coffee, and water. During that fortnight, we took a look at it and we realised it had changed really! Really! Like the bone has gone really dark, and stinkier. I wrote what happened to the bones.
