Since 184 years ago, Katsushika Hokusai’s work, AKA the as the ” Great wave “, has been mobilised as a symbol of not just Tsunamis, but hurricanes and  planes crash into the sea. In each of these, it is the sense of arrested movement that makes the wave comes alive. ( All of this was from google :> )

Jumpstart Renegrade hockey

This is my first week in Jumpstart PE here is a small amount of my reflection.

Today I would give myself  a 4/5 for effort and participation  in this training because….

Today was my first lesson of PE (Renegraden hockey) so my mind had little knowledge of this sport

but because this is level one PE there are more complex movements and instructions.

Thanks to my partner Vanya and other students in the class I quickly gained enough knowledge about

beginner movements such as passing, trapping to more complicated actions such as Mid-air tap.

Skill(s) I worked on improving was/were…

To have a correct stable stance, make sure I’m a safe player by not raising the hockey stick overmy shoulder, going into contact more confidently and making sure I demonstrated each of the skillsI learned.

Today I helped.. Due to not being present in PE classes earlier this week I wasn’t to help someonelike the rest of the class but I did say positive things to my team members, clapped when they didsomething right and helped my team by passing the ball and by being a defensive player.

Someone who helped me learn and how was… Vanya helped me by making sure I had correctly learnedthe basic renegade hockey skills, making me repeat and practice them before the game and also madesure I was listening to the instructions.

It was challenging to… Get involved with the new students, I had no idea of the skills, I felt shy andlacked confidence. But thanks to past class members and my partner I was able to get involved withthe game, mingle with the students and gained the confidence to be a defensive player.

Something I really enjoyed was…. Playing with different students and making sure I played a good gameso I wouldn’t let my team down. I also enjoyed how supportive everyone is my team waseg. Making sure everyone in the team passed the ball and when coming together we’d identifyany problems and congratulate each other.

Human Rights – Jasmine

We have been learning about what human rights means. What are human rights to me? Well human rights is when everyone should have freedom no matter who you are. We should all be treated as equals even if you are LGBTQ+, Black, White, Mixed, Cultures, Beliefs, etc. We all are human beings so no one should be treated differently. We talk about human rights but yet there is still millions of slaves around the world as well as starving kids. There are approximately 3.1 million children who die from undernutrition each year. All this stuff needs to stop.

Renegade Hockey Reflection

Today I would give myself  a  4/5 for effort and participation  in this training because first I thought to myself that it was going to be the same thing but the lesson was mixed with a new drill that I thought was fun and pretty simple that would help on the court.

A factor that influenced my participation was the class itself. In my eyes I can tell that we have a good class and it gets me in the mood to actually participate. Just having a good attitude makes me want to actually participate.

Somethings I am doing to contribute to my team was showing my leadership skills and taking action. I saw us playing randomly and it didn’t go well, so I got the team together and strategized. Using teammates with their individual skills, I wouldn’t say that I’m a good leader but I did help and gave us a point or two.

Something I really enjoyed was seeing the team work and do their part well. With Jayden playing defense and giving it a go to Ngapua playing more offensively with me. I enjoyed watching the team’s participation.

Level 1 P.E reflection

Today I would give myself  a  5/5 for effort and participation in this training because we worked with a partner from different classes and we both had turns demonstrating confidence and leadership while we taught each other a skill which we used in a mini 5v5 against our other classmates.

The team I am in is called: The bot squad, I don’t know we haven’t decided.

I’m proud that I improved In the leadership role as my teaching was easy to learn and I felt confident while doing so and my partner was engaging with my teaching with 100% enthusiasm and effort. I also improved on the skills required to have a proper game of renegade hockey.

Something I found challenging was actually nothing. I thought having four different classes in the one would be a bit difficult because we wouldn’t get along or something but it actually went real smooth and we all got along but I hope we can get closer and work as one.

Something I really enjoyed was learning the skills again because I was in need of a revision and pairing up with people I usually don’t pair up with was pretty cool because we got to know each other in that little time we had.
