its fun to do it. because the create task I choose is to make a poster and type about WHY SHOULD WE KEEP ZOO? I think that we should keep zoo because you can’t learn a lot of things on TV that will damage your eye too so we should just go to the zoo:)

Today I just finished my last create task for the week!! YAYYYY anyways let me get straight into it! (I’m gonna skip this weeks learning because its on my first blog, so here’s the link if u wanna know)

So of course you may know what this weeks learning may be about if you’ve read my first blog, anyways what we had to do for my create task was to choose an animal on Auckland s zoo website and write a diary from the animal you chose, but you had options to make a diary about the animal living its best life in its enclosure or it hates its enclosure. (but I chose it hates its enclosure) Then you had to blog it.

I really enjoyed this create task because it was fun to do and it might just be my favourite one, anyways here’s my work!

Today , we have been learning  zoos and the past zoo vs now in the past the anmals were in small spaces and little cages and then there was retied anmals too and there was no stpoted and the anmals  were sad and tried . And now there’s BIG cages and there no retided anmals and there is amazing spotted and the anmals were happy and excited !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello bloggers in this week we have been learning about voting in NZ. Democracy, a class trying to decide a game to lay in lunchtime but only one person votes for the class so it will not make it feel fair. But if everyone gets a turn to vote that is democracy. NZ is a small country with only about 5 million people if they were all in a box making laws and vote it would not feel so big. So they choose a smaller group to represent us this group is called the parliament, the’re called the member of parliament AKA MPS for short. They make very important decisions about: Schools and education, hospitals and health care, roads buses and trains, cars, protecting the environment and our wildlife. Voting is important because it is the way we choose who gets to sit in parliament. In NZ general elections happen every  three years. Page 2: In NZ we use a system called MMP for choosing our parliament MMP stands for Mixed Member Proportional:  mixed : parliament is made up of two types of MPs (Local MPs and List MPs) Member : the people elected to parliament Proportional : The number of seats a political party will get in parliament matches the proportion (share) of votes they get across the country. Party vote: (choose a POLITICAL PARTY you want to help run the country). Electorate vote : (choose  the  INDIVIDUAL PERSON you want to represent your area). Page 3: normally there are 120 seats in NZ parliament. Think the word parliament like a large room and a stage with 120 chairs. Political parties try to win as many of those chairs as possible during election! Total seats: 120. Electorate MPS  (~72 seats): Won by individual local candidates. To get any seats in parliament, a political party must at least hit one of these targets. To form a government and make laws, a group nees more than half the seats in parliament-that means it must have at least 61 out of 120 seats. Under MMP, it is rare for one single to win 61 seats all by themselves. In NZ, you can vote in a general if you: are 18 years old or older, are a NZ citizen or Permanent resident, have lived in NZ for 1 year or even more continuously at some point. Are enrolled (signed up on the official voting list). Voting places: On election day, people locally go to local voting places like school halls, community centres and churches. Secret ballot: Voters go inside a voting booth with small cardboard screens so nobody else can see who your choosing, voting is private! The voting box: after putting a tick next to their favourite Party and their favourite candidate, voters drop there own ballot paper into an orange box for voting. Counting: when voting ends, election workers carefully count every single paper!

1st create task I did was: should kids vote? This means we have to find a reason why kids should or shouldn’t I did this on my own because I did not recruit anyone to do it with me. I enjoyed it because 10 year olds should vote because they are kids, the hardest part was adding on partner’s thoughts.

2nd create task I did was : create your own party to make our a school a better place! This means you have to use a DLO of any I used Google drawing with my friend Lucas this was fun because Lucas is a good friend. The hard part was the pictures and thoughts we came up with our own ideas.

Welcome into Term:4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I am kind of sad because next year I will leave the school for intermediate, so will the other year 6’s

But anyway onto the learning.

So today is Thursday so it is a create Task day so I did one and now I am blogging as you can see.

The book this week is called: Welcome to democracy in Aotearoa New Zealand!

Here’s Facts about the book:

1)Short way to say members of parliament MPs

2)They make all the important decisions about; schools, hospitals, roads and protecting are native wildlife

3)The general elections happens every 3 years

4)New Zealand is a country with 5 Million

5)The parliament house in New Zealand Is in Wellington

6)MMP is to choose our parliament

7)MMP stands for Mixed number proportional

8)You are allowed to vote two things one the party vote and two electorate vote

9)You are only allowed to vote when you are 18 year and older, if you are a New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident, if you have lived in New Zealand for more then one year continuously at some point and if you are enrolled (Singed up on the official voting list)

10)There are a total 120 seats in parliament and to form a government you need to win 61 seats

So that is 10 facts from the book!

And also there are so many more facts about democracy in Aotearoa New Zealand but I only wrote ten.

And the Create Task I did this week was to write if 10 year old’s should or should’t vote.

And I rate the task a 710 because it was kind of boring but it was easy.

In maths I have been doing number line and I have to count 3 3 3 3 3 and then I done but I have to do the second one it is like the same but it is not the same as one and the thing they are three of them so idk if I can do this and I am going to thee 2 and 3 so I have to do this. bye see you on my blog and piss out.

During Maths, we have been focusing on Geometry.(Angles)

We used protractors to measure the different angles.

My task was to measure the angle WITHOUT THE PROTRACTORS.

It was a bit hard but I did it! (I think )

I am happy about my work because I tried something new!

Hello internet welcome to my blog post! This is my first blog post of term 4! This is gonna be about my Reading create task as you figured. Anyways this week we are learning about voting because this year is voting season.

My create task this week was making a VOTE FOR SUHO poster in my school. I havent blogged in a long time so don’t expect the best anyways, if you didn’t get me here is my what to do

 

Partner up with a classmate to start your very own party and brainstorm three big changes you would make to make our school a great place, building on each other’s ideas as you talk! Next, design a campaign poster that features your Party Name, a Catchy Slogan, and your 3 Main Changes. For example, you could create The Cool Campus Party with the slogan “Making School Cool for Everyone!” and list three ideas like adding extra sports gear at lunchtime, creating a cozy outdoor reading spot, and having a monthly Friday dress-up day.

 

Then create a poster for your party Using adobe express, google drawing etc.

Now I will show you my create task. I originally did it with my friend Ashwin but he betrayed me and did it with my other friend Taha. So I did it with “The Girls” also known as Zoe,Skye, and Skyler. I kind of carried but they did help. Without further more to say here is my create task.

Note that you must be 18 to vote in New Zealand. We finished this a bit quick so it might not be the highest quality so here it is. Very bottom

Today I just finished my math’s create task!! YAY! Anyways let’s get straight into it!

What we were learning for this week was about negative numbers, Like counting back from 10 to -9 and the other way around, anyways for our create task we had to use the IW (interactive whiteboard) and use the -12 to 12 number line. Then we had to start from -7 and count to the positive side with fives (if that even makes sense…) ANYWAYS

I really enjoyed this task because it was fun to do and was actually really easy and short, BUt anyways here’s my work!!
