Mission 2 engineering with Measurement

Today in room 4  we are doing mission  engineering with Paulina the first thing we did was the whiteboard and we though it was about 90.cm but it was actually  80.cm  then after we did the chrombook and it was actually 90 .cm  but we thought It was 70.cm . it was so fun!!

Pukekeraka church visit

A couple weeks ago we went to two of the churches in Otaki. St Mary’s and St peter chanel. I liked the one with the huge roof and all the cool Maori wooden panels. Have you ever been to either of these churches? Anyway, I hope you like it!

Maths Mission 2

A few weeks ago we did measuring on things you could use in a bridge like books and chairs and bags.  The bag was about 90 cm, the tv was 1 meter and 31 cm, the floor was 9 meters, and the Chromebook was 31cm.

Mission 2: Engineering with measurement

Today we are doing bridges to schools Mission 2: Engineering with measurement. First we grab the paper sheet and a 1 metre ruler then we choose our four objects and we Estimate the length and we use the 1 metre ruler to find out the real length. Next we write the difference between Estimate and Actual and we do the 4 objects.

Maths mission 1

In room 4 we have been doing maths missions. For the first one we needed ice-blocks sticks and built a square, triangle and a rectangle. After that we squished them and the square turned into a diamond and the rectangle into a weird diamond and the triangle into noting just a triangle. So it showed us that the triangle is the strongest.
