This week we had to choose a fact of the day and research about it . I chose chameleons because I love how they change colour and I wanted to find out more about them.

This week I learned that that hippos have pink milk. Did you know that? If you want to learn more I think you will enjoy my slide!

Hi! Today for my fact of the day research slide I decided to do hippos! A fact of the day research is when you get a fact of the day or a national day from Ruma Toru’s class site and you make a research slide out of the topic! I now know that Hippos produce pink milk! I found this fun to do, and I think that I could do this a million trillion times. Do you like my hippo research slide?

In class we have been trying to learn all of our times tables. The ones I found challenging were the 7’s 8’s 12’s  Do you know all of your times tables? It is sort of working.

Today I did my 7 times tables, I think it’s working pretty well but I do have to do it multiple times to remember all the answers.

Hi guys, today I’m starting a new get creative with my friends, Lilith and Malaiah. We are doing this because we like baking, and we have to choose a topic to learn and create with. I liked coming up with recipes, what we might bake, We learned heaps about baking, and ovens, and a lot of cool stuff. Do you like baking?

Hi, today I’m pretty sure it is going to be the last blog post about the times tables I’m doing, but I think my strategy is working. What I’ve liked about doing these times tables with the strategy is that the strategy takes like five seconds to do.  One question, Do you think it will make you better at times tables, with the ones you don’t know?

Hi again, today I’m posting one of my final things I need to do this week. I’m doing this because we had to choose a strategy that would do us the best and do it.What I did today is I worked on my maths, with my card by pulling out a card and trying to answer it in 5 secs or less. Is it working? Definitely! I can answer 2 of the questions without thinking about them! I like how I am memorising most of my questions in my head. What times tables have you memorised?

Today in my class I have made a part 6 of my maths, today I just practised the 8’s. I enjoyed answering all the questions and I think this way of learning the times tables really helps me learn all the times tables I’m not good with. My strategy is old school basically I write down all the questions and then answer them. I found 8 times 6 the hardest out of all the 8’s but they’re still all really easy. Here’s one question have you ever practised maths at home?

On the 20th of August Waitohu school went to Rangiatea church, from st Peter Chanel and we walked to the church. Then we got to walk inside the church and a lady stated telling us about the Church then we got to ask questions then we walked back to St Peter Chanel.

On mission 2 bridges in school we got a piece of paper and had to measure 4 things in the class room. We could work with buddies  so I worked with Jasmine I measured a little blue desk my estimate was 50 cm the actual measure was 61 cm. The difference was 11 cm. I also measured the door, maths book and Jasmine the door was 2.23 cm the maths book was 34 cm and Jasmine was 1.53 cm it was fun to measure stuff.

Hello, today I’m sharing my boxes with my card for the 5 time, I am meant to do it everyday for 5 days a week. what I did today is I worked on my math with my card by pulling out a card and trying to answer it in 5 sc or less. do I think it working, Yes, Because I am answering my questions in 4 or less seconds. I find it challenging to keep the numbers in my head at all times. Do you know your 8 time Tables?lk/j

I am for sure getting better at all time tables  and I believe i’m getting better because if you compare my first video to this one, I m way better.

Today we had to do another time table,  I did 7 tables ‘s and here is a picture of it, and it is working very good. i have learn my 11 12 and my 9 time table
