Term 2 Guitar Lesson

Hello everyone

In music this term we had a student teacher us this term. I learned about guitar about also of things like teaching chords, what different chords to play and how we play the guitar. Do read Guitar chords there are different letters for each chord. Here are some examples like ABCDEFG, which is the normal guitar chords to play, it also plays different tones and different pitches. For this term, I have now learnt how to play “I Gotta Feeling” by Black Eyed Peas, that’s the only song that I know how to play guitar on. I have learned a lot of things but being specific this is what I learned in term 2 music.

  • Reading the notes and rests

Rests is a note that you don’t play and beats that you have to play

  • Time Signatures

Time Signatures is how many beats you play in one note

  • Sharps and flats

The chord is a high note or a low note or the word sharp of flat

  • Clefs

There are 2 types of clefs, the bass clef and the treble clef, the bass clef do lower and deeper notes while treble clef goes higher notes

Mid-Winter Breakfast.

Hello! Welcome back to my blog. Today we are blogging about the Matariki winter breakfast.

On Term 2 2024 during the end of week 9 we had a massive celebration for Matariki which was breakfast!

Yes you heard me right, breakfast was our celebration and for this breakfast we had: Porridge, Sausage Sizzle, Hot Cakes and Milo it was so fun!

We all loved it because it was also a non-uniform day and we had so much fun at the winter breakfast.

After morning tea we had mass and most of us went up but some of us didn’t receive the bread and blood like me.

This afternoon we have lots of time to be finishing off like we can finish off our R.E and our maths investigation.

That’s all from me any questions?

See you next time!

The ancient Olympics

Hi bloggers, today I am learning about the ancient Olympics.

Here is what I already know…

It was very gruesome in the fighting arena. You would not want to live during those times because as an adult you have to participate. Woman weren’t allowed to participate or watch. Bribery was not allowed punishment means death.

A few things I learnt today was…

BCE means Before Christ Era which means it was before the death of Christ. They race with horses on chariots around the stadium. They gouged out competitors eyes for sport. The Olympics were to honour Zeus and the home of the Greek gods. They changed the days of the Olympics because of war.

SkySphere

This week we have been learning about the Olympics. We had three options to do I chose to make up a game.

The game I created is SkySphere: SkySphere Racing combines the thrill of high-speed flight with the precision of navigating through challenging obstacle courses, making it an exciting new addition to the world of extreme sports. Its blend of technology, skill, and spectacle promises to attract both participants and audiences alike, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in aerial sports.

My favourite thing for week 😁 (Matariki kites)

27.6.24

(Matariki kites) On Tuesday, we did a rotation for PBL. (Matariki) So I had 1 buddy and some people had 2 buddies. Some people had 1 buddy.

We had lots of rotations. For the first rotation, the teachers gave us traiangle papers. Then there were maori symbols that we have to color.

On the second rotation, we made some kites and the things that we need are: plastic bags, three scewers, tape and one long string. My buddy helped me and we did it together. On Wednesday, (26.6.24) me and my buddy were almost done. We were just about to do the string. And the teacher helped us by doing the string. And we were DONE! Tumu and Kakano (Hubs) sat on back mat. The teachers told us that we can fly our kites outside. So we did. Our one did not fly. But it’s fine.

Do you like Matariki?
