Health Hauora blog

Today (12.2.26) we played a hoops game where we all had to hold hands and get the hoop around a circle without being unconnected.

The hauora I showed during this activity was..

Physical by moving my arms and going outside

Social by doing this activity in a group

Mental by holding hand with the person next to me making me feel slightly uncomfortable

My Hauora was affected positively and negatively.

Positive – Going outside with peers, playing game

Negative – Having to hold hands and being in uncomfortable situations

The Social justice Value of fairness was included when everyone was included and participating in the game.

I think I participated well in this activity, I was included in the game and did well too.

I was doing alright in the hoops challenge. Though I could’ve done way better. The reason for this was because I was too slow and I know I could’ve done it faster. How I can improve is by being quicker and locked in.

The definition of long and short term is that long term is something that takes over 3 months to do or complete and short term is something you can do or complete in less than 3 months

Consequence is when you do something but there a bad option that can happen while doing it. An example would be if you are doing a trick on a skateboard the consequence is failing the trick and getting hurt.

Social Justice is like another term for Hauora. It has 4 core values that people can follow

PIS stands for Personal, Interpersonal and Societal. The meanings for these 3 words are…

Personal – something that belongs to you or information only you know.

Interpersonal – something close friends or family members know.

Societal – something a large group knows.
