For my design, I chose a simple but clean style for my taonga pūoro. I had limited tools available, but I used a chisel to carve out my design. Although I don’t consider myself very artistic, I’m confident in my building skills, so I found the process really enjoyable. One thing I would do differently next time is spend more time planning my design beforehand, as I would have liked to make it look more visually appealing.
