In the first week of term 2 we have been doing stuff that is normal to every other day. On Tuesday we were doing hakinkina. We have to run around the track as many times as we can without walking or stopping just jogging/running. Then after that we did learning in our books and chromebooks. But the one thing I liked the most this week was aroha and the beating drum. It was where we learn about a girl that researches the heart and does running to see if her heart beats faster. Aroha had heaps of questions about what blood is made of and what does the heart do.
It was fun doing the aroha story. But what I didn’t really like was doing prisms and nets. We did it on Wednesday. It’s hard and I don’t know what they are. Matua also told us a story about Kupe and how he found New Zealand. But Kupe didn’t discover it. Kupe’s dad discovered it. And how he got to New Zealand and where he was from. He said he was from a place called Hawaiki.
