Science – Egg Parachute Experiment

KIA ORA!!!! READERS!!!

I want to find out how to make an Egg Parachute that goes slow and keeps the egg secured.

Today we are going to make an Egg parachute and we are gonna have a competition between our class about whose parachute goes slow and if the egg is secured, I chose to design my parachute so I can make the best one and make it go slow and protect the egg.

Method:

Equipment:

  • Straws
  • Sellotape
  • Plastic sheet
  • Strings
  • Rubber Bands
  • Newspaper
  • Skewers
  • Tissues
  • Eggs

Instructions:

To create an egg parachute that descends slowly and keeps the egg secure, you will need the following equipment.

1. Cut Four equal lengths of string or thin rope, each approximately 20 inches long.

2. Tie the ends of the strings to the four corners of the paper or plastic, creating a suspension system for the cup.

3. Make sure the strings are securely attached to the cup and are of equal length to ensure stability during the descent.

4. Gently place the egg inside the cup, ensuring that it is centered and secure.

5. Use tape to reinforce the attachment of the strings to the cup and to secure the egg in place.

6. Test your parachute by dropping it from a height, and making adjustments needed to ensure a slow and stable descent.

Remember to test and refine your design to achieve the best results for the competition. Good luck with your parachute project!.
