Why We Should Go To Greece
Would you rather stay at school and do work or take an amazing trip to Greece? We strongly believe that our entire class should get to go to Greece for a School trip. If you let us go we would definitely finish our work early or on time, fundraise and have a really fun time. We should definitely go to Greece because we can relax by the beach, learn about the history, and try new foods.
Fundraising
Firstly we believe that we could raise enough money for twenty-eight kids, a teacher and some parents (who have to pay themselves) to travel and stay for a week in Greece. The ways that we would fundraise is by having lots of bake sales, raffles, quiz nights, a BBQ and car washes. We would fundraise for a year because then we probably would manage to get enough money for plane tickets to travel to Greece, accommodation and activities. We would only need $40,000 – $80,000 to get the entire way there. Everyone in the class would chip in to help as well. Wouldn’t you love to relax by the beach?
Relaxing By The Beach
Secondly , relaxing by the beach would be very calming and relaxing, and peaceful after a long flight which is one day and three hours. Try and imagine a crystal clear sea so calm there aren’t any waves at all. We would get a beach chair and bring it down to the beach for our lovely Teacher Ms Kemp, who would just have to watch us as we cooled off in the clear blue water and do some snorkelling. Relaxing by the beach would help relieve stress from busy days at school. The holiday would help us to rejuvenate and boost our effort in all our work.
Trying New Foods
Thirdly, we should go to Greece because everyone can branch out from their comfort zones and try traditional foods. Some traditional foods include Moussaka (is a casserole), souvlaki (is a small piece of meat and vegetables on a skewer), Baklava (is a layered pastry dish) and Greek salad (is a healthy vegetable salad). Tasting these traditional foods would help us be able to correctly describe what the foods we listed tasted like and what they were. We could also be able to learn about who first made the foods back a long time ago. Would you love to try new foods?
History About Greece
Lastly we should go to Greece because we can learn all about the columns of the Doric, Ionic or Corinthian orders. Seeing the pillars would be such an awesome experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn more about Greece and how the pillars came to be. We could even research the Romans for our history unit. Think about how great that would be not explaining what we have to do for an hour before we get what we have to do.
Conclusion
I strongly believe that our whole class should go to Greece so we can relax by the beach, try new foods and learn about the history of Greece. The trip would rejuvenate us and help us to become better friends with everyone. Everyone would love to go on a class trip outside of the country to Greece.
