ANZAC Day Quiz

ANZAC Day Quiz

Our first question in our ANZAC Day quiz was answered by all the 18 people that were asked but their results were unexpected.  11% of people also known as 2 out of 18 got the question correct. This could be for many reasons. It could either be that they just didn’t know, or  people read too fast and misread it, or they just could not be bothered to take their time and go through the questions.

For question three The question was Why are poppies important to ANZAC Day? All of the 18 people responded to these questions and 50% of people got this correct.  This result for the other 9 people was most likely because they did not put enough information in and did not know about where they grew and instead put in a sentence about remembrance.

For question three The question was Why are poppies important to ANZAC Day?All of the 18 people responded to these questions, and 50% of people got this correct.  This result for the other 9 people was most likely because they did not put enough information in and did not know about where they grew and instead put in a sentence about remembrance.

Our Fourth question was: Which of these ingredients are not in ANZAC biscuits? This was quite a difficult question because there is usually Egg in Regular biscuits but not Golden syrup or water. 38 percent of people got this write.  This means that people know what is in regular  biscuits but not so much in ANZAC biscuits.

On the Fifth question. The question was: What year was the first ANZAC Day? And all of the 18 individuals responded to this question.  And 67% of the people got this question correct.  This result with the other 9 people was most expected.  They probably could not be bothered to take their time and read the question or they read too fast or misread it.

On the Sixth question. The question was the ANZACS went to gallipoli in what war? And all of the 18 people responded to this question. And 11% of the people got that question correct.  And the result with the other people was most expected .  They probably were too lazy to read the question and just picked an answer, or they read the question and misread it.  And the answer was World War 1

Our last Question Was What Can You Do on ANZAC Day?This question was quite easy but surprisingly only 33% of people got this correct.  This was confusing considering 11% of people told us that they were going to school on ANZAC as well as going to the dawn service, wearing poppies and enjoying the Day off even though they just had A day off for ANZAC day last week.  This was a disappointing result seeing we experience ANZAC Day every year and do most of these activities.

Overall these responses were frustrating and confusing. Only 33% of people got over 15/30 points. This means that 67% of our class all got less than 2 questions out of 7 correct.  This is very disappointing considering every year each class learns about this topic and for everybody in our class to go through all this learning 7 or more times in their lives and not pick anything up is shocking.
