Welcome back to school Room 22. We are so lucky to have been chosen to take part in the “Garden to Table” program. Matua Levi and Whaea Stephanie, from Manurewa High School, have been working with us to help us set up a garden for our kura. We are going to grow all sorts of amazing things we can eat, and have already planted hundreds of seeds. Keep watching to see how our garden grows!
Last week we were learning all about ANZAC day. We got busy making a wall display and made poppies, used pastels to create a sunset scene, and painted a background for our poppies. We wrote acrostic poems and learned more in our reading.
We also had a special lesson about what to do in an emergency to keep ourselves safe. This could include an earthquake, tsunami, or fire.
Finally, well done to Raeesah, who was awarded Tama last week.
