We learned about the Sun and how it releases heat. First, I saw some flame and black carbon. I noticed the sugar turning into black stuff when it was lit on fire.
The most interesting thing was the big flames.
When the sugar was heated it released energy. Gas formed and pushed the carbon upward. The experiment released light and heat.

One way this experiment is different from the Sun is the sun uses fusion not fire. The experiment showed the Sun releases energy by using fusion which make solar flares.
