Reading: Listening eyes, Speaking hands

Talofa readers,

In my reading group we have been reading a book called: Listening eyes, Speaking hands.

The book is about Christchurch and a group of students who are deaf and the history about Christchurch schools and deaf students.

Its about how signing used to not be allowed in school but the deaf students still fought for it to be a language.

It also talks about a summer school the deaf to go to.

Then we made slides about the book.

Here are my slides:

This is a video of me saying “Hello name is Melany” in sign language.
