Hey bloggers
HI so this week in math we are working with bridging. So what bridging is.Is to plus or minus to the.
nearest ten or if your working with hundreds then bridge to the nearest hundred. So basically you just
add to the nearest neat number because its easy to add.So for example if you needed to add 7+5 then
you would add three first because that would take you to nearest ten then you would add the 2 left
over. But today we did it with time instead so what we did was we used a number line to show our
working. In our books so the question was that the race started at 10:30 then it said that like we had to
add up when the runners finished. So for example Kate ran for 22 minutes then we would plus 22 to
10:30 using our bridging method in our books.I did this in my book so its going to be blurry so I will
write the questions and answers.
Question 1: the race started at 10:30 and sheary ran for 37 minutes?
My answer:The first thing that we would do is add 30 to 10:30 that would make it 11 0 clock then we would add the seven making it 11:37.
Question 2:dani ran for 22 minutes
Answer:you would add 20 on the the 10:30 then it would make it 10:50 then we would add the 2 and it would make it 10:52.
question Charles ran for 45 minutes
Answer:we would add the 40 making them the five.
