Today was our first official training run for the Beast Run in 10 weeks.
Last week we walked the course. This week, we had a little reflection about our own goals for this upcoming event… and away we went. No land speed records were broken, but we took our first step (series of steps actually). I walked until I felt my legs were sufficiently warmed up, slowly extending the length of my step which also helped to slowly raise my heart rate (that and the hills of course).
Then I felt ready to run, so away I went with the goal of trying to get back to class without stopping.
My personal goal is to do that 3 times a week so that by the Beast Run I should have completed 30 training runs.
