Recently we have been learning sentences in Māori and how to reply. For example we have learnt that, ke te pehea koe? Means, how are you feeling? And for two you would say, kei te pehea korua? Meaning, how are you feeling?(2 people). And also for three or more you would say, kei te pehea koutou? Meaning, how are you feeling? (3 or more people).
We also learnt that we would reply by saying, kei te ___ ahau. Meaning, I am ___. Depending on how you feel you would put different emotions where the line is some of them are, pai (good), whakawhetai (thankful), kaha (energetic), ngenge (tired) and manahou (joyful). There are hundreds more!!! So many I don’t even know half!!! We did this slide showing our avatars asking how people are feeling and people answering correctly in Māori. The most challenging part was trying to get all the people on the last slide they just wouldn’t seem to fit. It was like they didn’t want to fit.
