Tuesday 21st of April was the grey district athletics day. Where all the other schools from all around Greymouth come together and have a sports day at Anzac park. I like the 60 metre sprint and the high jump. the only thing i would change about Athletics day is how the weather was. It was freezing cold. I hung out with Indigo and Aaliyah the whole time. It got to the point where it was so cold that my mum brought us a whole huge picnic blanket for us to share. Me Indigo and Aaliyah were waiting for our turn at the sprints but it was so cold, we were shivering so we got the picnic blanket and put it over our heads then ducked down so we were in a little bubble. Only I did the 1500 metre run. Then all of us did everything else. we did discus, shotput, 100 metre sprint, 60 metre sprint, long jump, high jump and the rest area! we walked back to school. it was pretty fun. did you qualify for your local athletics?
