Hey bloggers!
For reading this week we are learning about the Seven Summits which are that worlds tallest mountains Kilimanjaro (Africa), Mount Elbrus (Europe), Denali (North America), Mount Everest (Asia), Mount Vinson (Antarctica), Aconcagua (South America), Carstensz Pyramid (Oceania). The Seven Summits are the tallest mountains in every continent. our task was to learn all about the Seven Summits which was really fun and interesting.

- Understand Vocabulary kupu/words related to the text.
- Read fluently (With focused attention) and have a variety of strategies for making meaning
**✿❀ D.L.O: ❀✿**
Task 1: Our first task was to match the definition of a word and write the synonym of each one. For example:
Vocab word: Summit
Synonym: Peak
Definition: The highest point of a mountain
Our task:


Task 2: Find 5 interesting facts from the text and write them in your literacy books.
- Mount Everest is one of the tallest mountains in the world by over 8800 metres tall!
- These mountains have very low oxygen levels that could make you sick because of how tall they are.
- It is believed that ancient people named Mount Elbrus after its curled cone shape “Strobilus”.
- The Seven Summits are the tallest mountains from every continent.
- Very few people only dare each other to climb these mountains!
