My poem Video
Week 8 in Room 10. We have been learning about poems by Hone Tuwhare a New Zealand, Māori poetry writer. He has won lots of awards for his poets. The poem we read was called “Rain”, and then we were able to write our poems I decided to write mine also about the rain too but in my own version so it is not the same.
I picked rain because it waters the garden, then afterwards it sparkles on the ground. My poem started off with saying “why does rain have to come it is so soggy” but then it changes into “rain is so pretty with the light soft water drops.”
