For the past week the senior syndicate has been learning about St Carlo Acutis. He died at 15 from leukaemia and became the Saint of Technology, he spent his allowance on sleeping bags and food for the homeless. He was born in London, England in 1991 and died in Moza, Italy in 2006; and became the first millennial Saint. On Thursday The Priest Monsignor Anthony Figeiredo came to our school to talk a bit more about St Carlo Acutis and have a look at his relics. The first relic opened up to four sections – The top one was a lock of his hair forming a cross, the one to the right was a bit of cloth from his favourite shirt, and to the left was a small piece of his pericardium; and lastly on the bottom were a few of his most famous quotes. After this one there was one more relic that was a big one piece frame kind of thing and had a bigger piece of his pericardium in it.
